Unigym opens its new gym at Galeries Aylmer!
Grand Opening Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11am to 2pm
Galeries Aylmer is pleased to welcome Unigym Gatineau to its brand-new 16,000-square-foot gym. Larger, more accessible, and specially designed to meet the needs of gymnasts of all ages and skill levels, this new facility is a must-see.
Come discover these new facilities and celebrate with us the arrival of an important sports and community partner for Aylmer families.
A Free Family Fun Day
The entire community is invited to participate in a day full of activities:
- Open tour of the new gym;
- Athlete demonstrations;
- Inflatable structure;
- Face painting;
- Games and musical entertainment;
- BBQ;
- Draws and door prizes;
- Official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Admission and activities are free.
Schedule for the day
11am — Festivities begin
BBQ, family activities, and gym tours.
Noon — Official ceremony
Speeches, ribbon cutting, and official photo.
12:30pm — Athlete demonstrations
12:45pm — Activities resume
BBQ, tours, entertainment and prize draws.
2pm — Event ends

About Unigym Gatineau
Unigym Gatineau is a non-profit sports organization with over 7,000 members, from toddlers to high-performance athletes.
Its programming includes recreational and competitive gymnastics, trampoline, tumbling, parkour, camps, children’s parties, and many other activities for families.
The new gymnasium at Galeries Aylmer will allow Unigym to welcome more participants and diversify its services in the area.
